I've to have a look at a job at the weekend and was looking for some pointers please.

A mates farm are installing a few static caravans. Now I'm not sure exactly what the job involves but I think they need hooked up to mains supplies and tested.

I've never connected up caravans or done any previous work in them so does anyone have any general things to look out for? Are there any specific things to look out for? I don't have a copy of the regs with me at the moment hence the questions.

Thanks for any help :)

Hi.

If they're "static" i.e never to be moved, then it depends on how they're goin to be connected i.e fixed wired or via hook up's.

If PME then I would suggest converting to TT regardless, RCD protection, look at the loading of each unit, Is it for public rental???

Cheers

you friend will have to make sure obviously that the electrical supplies they are prviding are correctly installed and wont cause an overload.
like Lenny said if they static caravans then it will probably making sure they are conencted property and all working without it short-circuiting it
