Hi, I recently left college and just wanted to confirm something on here with the more experienced sparks, I have adequate experience but never done this before. I'm looking to install a supply to my summerhouse from my home cu. My home cu is on a tncs system and protected by rcbos, I'm planning to take a supply from my home cu in swa connected to a new rcbo in my home cu (sizes of cable and rcbo to be worked out once I know what will be going in the summerhouse) down to the summerhouse and into a plastic submain with rcd protection and then take my final circuits of that for the summerhouse. Just wanted to confirm that this is the correct way, thanks in advance.

If you are using SWA then no need for a RCBO in the house cu.

Edit what do you mean by "plastic submain"??

How can that be?

No extraneous parts I was just going contain the cable in conduit in the summerhouse and earth it using banjos and fly lead on the swa. Thanks for confirming that I did wonder if I would need a rcbo or just mcb
