I love cable tray. Its as close as I can get to my departed, much loved (and swapped for a motorbike) Meccano set.
 
Black jap screw close to the top edge straight through a couple of strands of armour. As they say in Devon "proper job".
 
You could of course use tray and cable tie the SWA to the tray.

Yes, flame retardant cable ties cab be used on cable tray.

Stainless Steel cable ties, usually at around 1 per metre with normal plastic ties in between.

Can I ask what the reason is for switching to electric? Gas hob every time for me!
