I can't terminate steel wired armour into original DB as it will not incorparate the gland. Must it be glanded off at the DB or can it go straight into the board without gland?

If so how can I earth the metal sheathing without a gland?

Also 3 core colours are brown, black and grey where can I get 4.0mm sleeving from? for neutral and earth?

can you not gland into an adaptable box, then bush tails through into DB?

why cant you terminate it and use tape

Terminate it where though....the DB does not incorparate SWA, it just has big entry wholes for incoming circuits, glands are far too small. I have thought about using tape to identify neutral and earth but is that acceptable (good practice) ?

tape is OK asa long as it's not liable to come off.

Then install an adaptable box and terminate your SWA cable into that, and use a flying lead to connect from the banjo to the CU earth bar..... Oh, and use Sleeving to identify your cores, do the job properly

I have seen an armoured glanded off into thin air before now.
Fixed in place to the meter board by a couple of saddles, banjo attached terminated about 7 inches below meter.
In one unit, there was even a fly lead from the banjo to an earth rod, in another unit, no fly lead.

Cut an apropriately sized hole into the CU and gland off.
Or gland off into an adaptable box or perhaps a length of metal trunking fixed to one edge of the CU.
