Ive been asked to install a circuit which will supply a compressor. The customer states that the compressor requires a 30A fuse at the CU (according to manufacturers instructions) and ive told him that it will need a switching device for isolation and mechanical maintenance.

What im a little unsure of (as it is the first time ive attempted this and only have the information, supplied to me by the customer, which im afraid is very basic) is which switch to use or whether an off-load isolator is the most suitable.

May be a couple of days before l check for replies. Any feedback or advice much appreciated.

Thanks, JJ...

Its a private domestic. An outside supply source, feeding a garage with one 16A socket radial, one 6A lighting circuit and the 30A circuit for compressor to be added. Thanks for the valuable advice once again guyz. Im sure ill be back soon... Ta
