At what point does a new test kit have to be calibrated? Is it still yearly? A friend of mine is sure it is ok for the first three years, sort of like a car mot.
 
I understand that if you do the monthly checks as mentioned by brucelee, then some schemes will allow three year calibration.
 
Annually is what I thought as well, but a bloke I work with said he had a three year calibration cert from megger as it was a brand new machine.
