Hi all

What’s your thoughts on this supply? Came across it recently and wasn’t sure whether to mention it to DNO as it’s quite old but not sure if it warrants it or not.

Looking at the photo it looks like the main earth is on a 951 clamp on the PILC and given the age and also the uncertainty of whether the service head is live and neutral fused I would be on the phone to the DNO

There's no label so I'd assume a fused neutral. I would call DNO and just get a name or reference to cover myself.

My image suggests no fused neutral. Not all ironclad cutouts had a fused neutral but it is well worth reporting.

The last one of those service heads I called the DNO to was 2 fuses and one disintegrated when it was pulled. The DNO guy had to warm it up to open it as the pitch had bubbled up and sealed the cover shut

Mains electricity didn't really come to my area until the early '60s, so I'm fortunate to never having had to deal with some of the antiques and potential death traps featured on here from time to time. Nearly all the service heads I've dealt with have been recognisably the same design as still fitted today.
