Toolstop, safe to use?

Morning friends, hope everyone is good! Stright to the point, i am going to buy a load of new power tools this weekend and after trawling through the internet i have discovered Toolstop, having usually been a fan of ITS i was surprised at how much cheaper Toolstop are. Reviews on the net say good things but i was hoping for a trusted opinion from members of this forum before i blindly offer up 2 grand to them. So does anyone have anything to say about the company, good or bad? Thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend.

Used them before and absolutely fine, no problems and good service, but if your splashing that amount of folding, don't order online, phone them instead and try and negotiate a further discount!

always pay with credit card , then if you get stuffed the bank will retrieve the payment.

Same as high tower ive used them a fair bit.

If you go on amazon they sell stuff through there.

Ive bought some bits through amazon from toolstop.

What brand power tools? There are certain sites that only sell one brand that might be a lot cheaper

try lumsden stuart , it will come up as power tools uk or power tools pro on google , i find them far cheaper

I use dewalt mainly but i am getting a few different brands this time around. Cheers for the advice guys, will check the other sites mentioned and make the order over the phone to see if they can better the orice. Good tip that.

Surely it would be better to stick to one brand as it is usually the batteries that die first

I ordered £400+ worth of gear from tool stop and had no problems,
I also emailed them before ordering and blatantly asked for a discount and got a code to use on checkout to get an extra 5% off!! Mucho cheapness!

I am buying a mitre saw, gas nailer, a second laser level and a few other items none of which need interchangable batteries so thats not an issue. All my cordless power tools are dewalt already so batteries just swap about, bit of a nightmare keeping up with which of the 8 batteries needs charging lol

Get a paintmarker mate and give them all a number.

Makes it a lot easier to keep track then

i got the new dewalt xr nailer , excellent piece of kit no need for gas

I've used tool stop and find them good.
also have a look at ffx or Lawson his. Also good service

I do more than just electrics and i am about to start property development with my dad so thought i had best invest in some more tools. I plan on using the nailer for second fix carpentry like skirtings and architrave

Have used ffx too but you know the drill, cheaper in 1 shop for one thing but dear for another.. I'm sure you'll source best deal .. I'm after jig saw and grinder for my 18v stuff and I find a shop on ebay is cheaper ..

Although wood butchering is fun as they have nicer power tools, electrics shall always be far more interesting

Just looked at toolstop, good prices but no better than ITS.

Tool stop with VAT are cheaper than ITS without the VAT on the items i am looking at, however ITS have a better selection

them nailer thingies are the spawn of the devil. why can't wood butchers use screws, bashed in with a hammer, like they've done for donkeys years?

Must have spent at least £10k with toolstop over the last three or four years. Always happy to negociate a discount over the phone, top notch customer service, deliveries on time, replaced the odd duff battery without quibble, never once had a problem with them. It is the only place I would consider buying power tools from other than the odd distress purchase over the counter at Screwfix, I would highly recommend!

Hi mate what about Anglia Tools are they no cheaper for what you want I found them cheaper than ITS for SDS drill
