hi all. im to be doing a job starting next week, its installing underfloor heating supplies.
the system is rated at 200watts per metre. Its to be laid in 3 rooms, totalling 75m squared. theyre split into 33m, 19m and 24m. The guy was saying the floor installer reckons he will want about a 70a odd supply, which i thought was very high so i calculated it myself and yes it worked out to be 70a odd! he was saying theyll be on all at once, which will mean the 3 matts will be using the 18kW. Hes convinced hell use this stupidly high supply and blow the main incoming fuse, but i know for a fact they will never be on full wack, all the time and ive tried explaining to him in as many ways i can this point but hes not having it. Am i being blind here, have i missed something or am i just working with a stubborn old g*t?
