Hi,just a thought,but make sure you pick a socket which is also RCD protected.
You already may have a machine,with a fault,so choosing a socket which is not protected by an RCD,may do two things,it may allow the machine to appear to be working,and dependent on the fault,allow the machine to become hazardous.
Just a tiny worry,if you were to plug that extension in to a garage socket which someone has wired straight to the power station
so you'r down in yam-yam land?
