I have an envirovent fan that I'm replacing that is connected to its own switch (ie not the light) . The current wiring has a live and neutral. The SIL100T model seems to have Live AND Live Switched and Neutral. As I only have the two wires can I just use a short piece of wire (from an old plug say) to connect my live and live-switched at the terminal connection in the fan. Seems rubbish that the fan (apparently) needs both these connected; it's certainly not working with just the permanent live connected. Thanks in advance

Short answer is yes, you can put a link between live and sw live.
the T in the part number stands for timer and it would allow the fan to continue running from the permanent live after the switched live has been turned off

The fan has a timer overrun. Can you take it back and get the non timer model?
It’ll be SIL100, without the T

But, yes, a link between L and SL will get it working.

Thanks- so in my case then the timer will become redundant as the fan will either be off or on.
