Oven lamp glass covers

My parents and my oven both need new oven lamps but both mine and their glass lamp covers are completely stuck / cross threaded and won't come undone to get to the lamp.

Is there a dang secret to get these glass covers off ? I don't want to force it and end up breaking the glass

Usually just a screw off, but if it does break, I use Espares for appliance parts.

There must be a fairly simple way to remove the entire assembly, and might be easier to get the cover off.

Seems to be a common problem these days, due to a combination of cheap lamp holders and poorly finished covers.

Usually persistence pays off and they magically free themselves after much back and forth. I'm reluctant to force them as there's a better chance of lamp holders coming loose, than a cover breaking.

Sometimes it’s worth trying when the oven has been on for a while, heat can make the holder expand more than the glass and it becomes a little looser.

As @James says if the oven is warm it may be easier to remove and when you put it back don't fit it too tight to make it easier next time

Just a possibility...happened to me...slid the oven out of its housing, got access to the oven light from the side.
