anyone watch it tonight? should have thought dom would try and get facts and terminology correct before going on air.

I saw it. I thought Dom could have researched the terminology correct. The wiring of the outside light was terrible although I liked the way he used his crutches to turn on the RCD! His building working was unbelievably bad

but to say the outside light should have been notified was wrong. even though it was a pig's dick

On fabric on building.... Not notifiable?

correct. fixed equipment attached to the building with no exposed connections.... not notifiable. ( exception is, of course an outside socket outlet)

I have to say, i utterly despise this program and all those involved with it.

I have never seen anything so scripted and false.

The presenters (as pointed out above), actually have no knowledge of building work what so ever.

IIRC they have already made errors which they have been pulled to task on.

"For Entertainment Purposes Only" should be flashed up at the start of every episode.

When Dom said that i thought he had meant a non fused spur but it did look to have a spur present, I loved how the guy got the cable in the patras box by just smashing the conner out lol

was it a FCU or a socket? i couldn't make it out. and what was the fat controller in a suit from napit doing with his tester? if it was wired directly into a socket outlet, the circuit should have been de-energised and left off until the offending cable had been removed.

My favourite bit was when Mel offered to get on her knees for some bloke in a furnishings shop.

He didnt look too bothered

I repeted that line to my brother while we were watching it and he still didant get it, your right tel it might of been a single socket that would explain the presence of the red and black cable.

quote dom "anyone doing these works should be a part p electrician" ffffffsssssss, always going to be lost in translation this one.

Didn't he also mension that the electrician should be registered with NAPIT? Oh well at least it wasn't NICEIC this time.

They could do with getting it right. Good luck finding a NAPIT or Part P registered spark in Northern Ireland or Scotland where the program also is shown. Could do with getting a lot more factual information right it seems as well.

Isn't Dom an ex used car sales man?
