I need some software to do my certs on and would like to know what alternatives there are to EasyCert? The software is great but as a sole trader the licensing is a bit of a joke/rip off. What options are there out there?
Hi all , have a vile 6 gang clipsal switch which I need to change trouble is the 3 5mm pins are top and bottom none on the sides , is there an alternative switch out there that I can fit .
Been having problems of late with hard rocky ground making installing rods on EV chargers next to impossible. This thread might also be of use to people when putting rods in when exporting PME with tricky ground conditions too.

Customer looking to change 33 JCC old existing downlights ,with JCC V50 downlights.The ceiling height is 60mm only so choices are limited for fire rated downlights.
JCC customer service suggested their JCC V50 fitting.Than I found out that manufactory advices no more than 20 fitting per circuit...

I had an Armeg Dust collection and drive shroud but for some reason it decided to split and is now next to useless... Held together with a bit of gorilla tape for a few weeks but has now past the point of no return.

Regulation 5126.96.36.199.1 suggests that when supplying earthing for a switched alternative generator that fault protection should not rely upon the TN building supply earthing ie an earth electrode would need to be installed for the generator.
My question is should the electrode also be connected...
Is there any reason why I couldn't install heavy gauge black malleable pipe to bs1387 instead of generic electric conduit to BS4568 where greater impact resistance is required?
Assuming of course the pipe was identified as such.

these are the faults i found today..
1.Cable duct not sealed C3
2. unterminated sy cable laying on floor (not live) C3
3. Rcd for additional protection not tripping in required times C2
4 no discrimination between protective devices...
