Hi All,
My company are sending me on the inspection and test course. I am not training to be an electrician (I am a design engineer) but have been requested to have these qualifications.
I have 17th Edition and guidance note 3, do I need the on site guide too?
Many thanks

I'm looking to do a PV install course: Can anyone tell me which is better BPEC or City & Guilds?
And can you recommend any course providers 25mile radius of Manchester please?
Thanks!
I have just completed C&G 2365 Level 2, and was wondering if anyone knew if I'd be able to join in the 2nd year of a 4 year apprenticeship. I've tried speaking to JTL about it, but not come back to me with anything
Thanks
Just want to get feed back on the 2357 city and guilds qualification, I'm currently coming to the end of my second year I've committed to pay for course myself which is costing me a lot! So I just want to make sure that I have committed to the right course to become and qualified electrcian.
cheers
Morning,
Has anyone got any experience of the 2396 Design qualification? I'd like to know what it entails and how much time it takes. AFAIK there is an exam and coursework but that's about the end of my knowledge.
So, in summary, is it worth doing? Will I be able to fit it in around running my...
I took the 2394+5 a while ago and failed. Not surprisingly as I had very little testing experience and was taught very little on interpretation on the readings given by the tests performed.
Still I have no idea what the readings represent which is partly my fault as I have gn3 but not read it...
Hello Basically I couldn’t get an apprenticeship years ago due to the recession etc...
So I went to college and did C&G 2330 level 2, level 3 and the 17th Edition. I could not find a domestic electrician job so I work for a company that fit level instruments, panels and water flow monitors. I...
Hi All
I'm pretty new to this forum so please forgive me if you're all sick to death of hearing this same question.
I'm looking to retrain as an electrician (the right way hopefully...) so I'm just looking for a little clarification on what qualifications I'd need and which you'd consider the...
Hi Guys
I have recently passed C&G 2394/95, does this mean I am no able to sign off installations and issue certificates? For example a friend of mine has asked if I can test and issue a certificate for a house he wants to rent out. Do I need to be registered with someone like jib?
Many thanks

Hi all.
A former colleague of mine (I also call him Dad now and then) who successfully runs a training organisation - not a Electrical Trainee one - is running a 17th edition course this coming week.
The course will be held at a full time college in the Maidenhead area (Berkshire) this coming Thursday...
Hi All,
I have recently passed my Level 2 C&G 2365 and 17th Edition and was meant to start my Level 3 C&G 2357 in January but it looks like due to numbers this is now not going to happen until September.
I have been informed that I could go on and do the Inspection and Test 2394/5 but have...
City and Guilds now have this book available, it is every bit as good as the old 2391 one, and has good examples of the written and online exams. £20, might be cheaper on Amazon.
Cheers………….Howard.
