The battery is the original motorcraft just replaced at the Ford dealer 665 cc amps , I've had the car a week and no problem so far. Have been watching voltage close looking for sudden drain. So far no problem.battery AH? a pic would help.
Thanks a ton ED I am wondering if at the heart of the matter is a rub between the auto engineers trying to minimize the battery where users that typically are "short trippers" let the charge slide downnnn? My suggestion would be try searching on a Ford forum, people are bound to have come across this problem before.
I found out the other day how to fix a malfunctioning alarm on my 2009 Fiesta by changing the boot latch, the alarm going off all the time was draining the battery.
Boot latch was 15 British squids on eBay.
The old favourite with battery drain is a light in the boot (trunk) staying on all the time, not sure if this is the equivalent of a mechanics old wives tale though.
