We did a system easter 2011 with the old (brand New at the time) 245 Sharp Monos (now obsolete 3 times over), 2kwp on a single mppt of a 4000tl as the customer was keen to add another string when the finances were available. Has anyone done anything like this? Questions are:

1 FiT? from similar threads( think is was on commercial systems) i remember this being pro rata as there is only one inverter and one meter.

2 EPC? its an old farmhouse, might scrape in with the 2kw already and back boiler. I seem to remember something about the additional system not being allowed to be included in the grading for the FiT? again seem to recall reading this on here possibly commercial only?

Cheers guys...

Metered generation will be pro-rated between the two applicable tariffs.

The property will need an EPC 'D' or better issued by a DEA dated before the commissioning date of the new system in order to get the highest tariff.

(Presume the existing system is 8 panels so should have been registered as 1960W at most. You might need DNO approval to add another 8 panels unless you set the inverter to max 16A output.)
