Hi all,

Just been approached by a women wanting an outside socket in a chalet and the job is pretty easy but am I even allowed to do it because im not fully qualified even though I'm competent enough to do so?

Thanks in advance.

no reason why you can't do minor works like that, but bear in mind that withoutPL insurance, any damage (like drilling a water pipe) you may cause comes out of your wallet.

If your competent. Go for it kid. Remember safety procedures.also my 10% fee.

If you are comfortable undertaking the work and competent enough to scrawl out a minor electrical installation certificate and have PL insurance then crack on

i did loads of little jobs for people when I was serving my apprenticeship, I even rewired most of my parents house including fitting them a new kitchen and put in a new consumer unit in my first year as a learner

you only learn stuff by doin g stuff
