Discuss Anyone know the difference between a red and green wire, besides the fact that red is more dangerous? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

The colours of conductors do have a significance if wired correctly according to the wiring regulations. If you are not sure I’d get an electrician to check.

Red wires taste like hot chilli peppers
Green wires are more like green beans.
If you over cook the red ones they become brown then black and taste horrible.

Hope that clears it up for you

Really, because last time I overcooks one it tasted lovely, I guess it’s a personal preference.

Yes but auto correct will not fix incorrect use of the English language.

Does anyone know the differences between a ref and green wire?

A ref is someone who adjudicates on a sporting match or contest a Green wire is one that has been subject to corrosion due to the black wire corrosion syndrome during charging without having a peak delta.
