hi guys just wondering if anyone has had experience with the new aurora led sunken spotlights, they are sealed units and supposed to be guaranteed for 5 years, i fitted 8 in a kitchen the other month and 3 of them have now failed all at different times, the wholesaler does not keep them as stock items so i have to go back and disconnect the faulty unit and revisit to install new one oh and they don't just go out they strobe like a disco light

hi , they driver may be faulty? but personally i wouldnt use aurora Light lights in the past they have failed on me ! i use a company called bri-tek and go direct , they have never failed on me and their lumen output is far better and the prices are much better i mainly specialise in LED Lighting and i have not had a single problem with them

We Use Aurora lights alot and have never had any problems with any of them TBH. Were they fitted as per the manufacturer's instructions? Do they have the correct free air distance around them? If so then if you were to goto Aurora direct then I am sure they would help you out.

We don't use aurora fittings (not for any bad reasons, we just use different ones) but we've found that, for floodlights/streetlights/corn lamps, it's better to have a separate driver and LED combination for reliability. Guess it's down to the electronics running that little bit cooler but it has made a difference on the number of call backs we get.

ps Sorry to the OP for a slightly off topic ramble...
