Best gland pliers

Hi my names Adam and in wondering which are the best gland pliers (water pump pliers) and reasonably priced as my old one are in three pieces Kind regards Adam

bahco.... also a hammer and flat driver.

Thanks for the advice I've seen the knipex ones think I'll give them a go

i prefer the bahco ones with the dog that stops them from self adjusting once you've set the opening aperture.

Another vote for Bahco , and a Bahco adjustable , been using CK one of late, thats decent stuff too

Depends on the gland size IMO, Bahco wide jaw adjustables will do you upto 32mm. Anything bigger either big pump pliers, footprints or stilsons.

bloody rough as, the lot of you! for glands upto 25 I use bacho widejaw adjustable spanners. for anything above that I use what are known as eagle beaks: on the sites ive worked on, you would be no longer required if you marked glands because of using waterpump pliers.

These don't mark the glands, and will just about fit an M50 gland.
theyre also handy for pipe fitting.
