Now that's a tune!

I know this is a silly movie, but it's got aliens (so maybe connected to the OP?) explosions and very big 16" guns that fired projectiles weighing a ton over 20 miles. And that track :)

Best bit is 4:30 ...

The solution is to buy copious amounts of aluminium foil and put this on the walls behind the paper and paint. cover your window panes with the foil and it will protect you from the potentially harmful currents and signal waves. All just in case you are being monitored. If you have any foil left on the roll you can make a hat to wear when driving and out the house.

Could become a bonding issue , your need an electricians help !

That's just silly covering the house in foil, it's also very time consuming. Much quicker just to cover yourself in foil. Don't forget to use your wander lead to keep the foil grounded.

Hi Gemma ,
first of all I would like to apologize for the amount of smart-arsed comments posted on your thread. Electricians has a somewhat bloated self of self importance when it comes to electrickery and also have a tendency to forget just how strange and , at times , terrifying electricity can be to people who have had little or no training in the matter. These people were , more often than not , crappy apprentices who were still getting the brews and butty's in their 3rd year and continued to be treated throughout their miserable lives with no respect due to their bitterness at failing to become plumbers.
ok , so first up , the tester you are using is notoriously unreliable and if you touched must object around the house you would get a similar reading.
The radio frequency detector you are using , would probably , depending on which type of conductive metal you are aiming/in contact with , would trigger anyway as most metals are refractive in their affects on radio frequencies and this tester is simply showing that.
In order to install any kind of secret transceiver or listening device , you would need a power supply and normally these are fitted in specialist light bulbs or sockets.. never(not once... ever) have I seen one fitted in a window. The warm spots you are talking about may simply be that your windows have developed a fracture in the seal and are allowing moisture and air in.
Rest easy , ignore the --- clowns on this thread and don't be afraid or intimidated by your lack of knowledge to post again as most of these bullies will be dreaming of unblocking drains when they should be helping people out.
Plungers at the ready , ladies.

Though I do actually wonder how many wrong 'uns have installed surveillance into HMOs or private rentals because the cameras have got so small and hidable.
Someone do some research into prosecutions, I can't be bothered and need to do the washing up!

I simply came out with the kind of answer that could have been written at the start if someone could have addressed what the OP was asking.

I never said that everyone on here is a crap spark.
On the contrary , I have found a number of threads on here to be quite informative , which is why I stick around.... that and the banter.
Being overseas working for the US government leaves me short on quality craic.
And in the event that someone asks for assistance on a matter that they simply know nothing about , and they are obviously ridiculed , then that sounds close to bullying to me.
And me being "better" than you is subjective. One mans tea is another mans coffee.
But I'll take 2 sugars in mine and brown sauce on my butty and make sure you are back with the right change , you pipe strangler.

No argument there mate, each store appears to set it's own prices which is crazy. One thing you can virtually guarantee though, is that the prices are higher than other suppliers. I only use them nowadays as a last resort.

I binned them years ago when their prices month to month were like ERNIE.

Having read the thread from the start, it appears the OP left fairly early on (August 5), and in fact seems not to have been upset by a small amount of sarcasm (#10), and indeed has not return, by the time it turned into regular banter (August 7).

As regards your protestations that the OP wasn't given any sensible replies at the start of her thread, then you haven't obviously perused the thread from the beginning, and would have seen the many straight forward and informative replies, e.g. #13.

IMO your reply #53, was in echolalia in nature, and was a superfluous post. If you feel someone is being bullied or a post(s) is or are inappropriate, then there is always the report button.

have every sympathy for the OP. by now she's probably on the planet Zog, having her mind re-programmed by aliens, due to lead the invasion of planet Earth.
