I blame C&G courses which convince people they will become competent to carry out EICRs.
I am referring to the course for EICRs.That's not the fault of C&G, more the companies that deliver the courses who falsely promise. There is actually a declaration for students to sign that they will not be electricians when they finish but improvers/mates

That a worrying statement.I always use grommets but many don’t; on their reasoning that grommets aren’t required if the sheath is in the back box.. Grommets only being for the installation process
Ditto. CBA to go through them all now, but another electrrician who doesn't know how to properly inspect and categorise an installation. Or know what "low voltage" means.I think I disagree with nearly all of those observations
