Discuss cable for Ex socket in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

any one can share what cable should i be using to connect
a ceag 511 Ex socket to DB?

cheers,
JY

Have done a good bit of EX stuff in sewers for the water board.

You can use normal SWA, but you need EX glands. Get decent ones by Hawke or similar. They are not cheap though, one gland can be £20.00.
If you need reducers, they need to be EX as well.

You only need the EX stuff at the socket end, as the DB wont be in the zone. (I hope)

You could always do it in pyro !
