Cable selection taking into account ''Startup Current''

New to these forums an just finished my apprenticship..
Just have a quick question..

When selecting cable for small commercial fan motors do you have to take into account the startup current?
The motors usually are around 9.8A FLC and sometimes have a startup of around 30-35A.
Do i need to take this into account when selecting my cable size?

Aint got the regs in front of me but isnt there something in the tables on 'application of diversity' on this?
