Customer has a rise-and-fall pendant - the sort with 2 pulleys and a counterweight metal ball - and because of the length of the drop (about 2.5-3m) the person who installed it had to replace the cable that came with the fitting with their own, which has a sort of woven sheath. It looks nice, but doesn't flex/go round the pulleys very nicely, so the lamp is fine to pull down, but doesn't go up very nicely. It needs 3-core (metal lampholder and shade with earth connection). I've got some 0.75mm H05RN-F, but I'm not sure it'll be any better than what's there at the moment.

Just wondered if there was a particular type of cable (very flexible) for this sort of thing?

Cheers! :)

Robotics cables have extra flexibility but it depends how often it is pulled up and down. H07RNF is probably the most flexible for your off the shelf stuff.
