Hi can anyone say if there is a conversion factor for watts to candle power. I had cause to buy a 12v/ 20w bulb, but was a given a 35 candle power rated one and was advised it is the equivalent, can anyone advise. Thanks. alimaj.

Watts is a measure of the power the lamp uses. Candle power is how much light the lamp gives. There is no direct relationship because a large portion of the power consumed makes heat not light.
