I am pricing a job to wire 21 new pitches for a caravan park. There will be a meter box beside each caravan with a 16a trip. I will split it into the 3 phases, so 7 caravans per phase.

Im just trying to figure out how to calculate the cable size. Is it better to run a ring main to pick up 7 caravans? If so how do I do a cable size calculation for ring main?

Cheers

a 10.0mm SWA radial for 7 pitches will be adequate . probably even a 6.0mm, considering diversity.

You could do anything from installing a feeder pillar centrally with a seperate radial to each pitch up to running a large 3 phase cable with a Y joint to tap off a phase for each pitch.

The physical layout of the site and distances involved may have an influence on what the most economical way is.
