Hi,he

What is the correct application of diversity, when a separate hob and oven share a single feed. As far as I see it, electrically they are the same as a free standing cooker - or does a cooker have a limiting mechanism to prevent all circuits from working at the same time.

Hob is 6.7kw, and oven 4.6kw. This would be approx 49amps.

If diversity is applied individually a 29 amp circuit would be ok. If diversity applied on the joint load, then it is down to 22amp. Which is the correct method?

In any case, 6mm (clipped), with a 32a breaker should feed both without a problem, and also follows OSG recommendation of 32 amp for 15kw max.

should not be a problem.

Apart from using a dual connection plate (scolmore), what is the best way to wire two units to a single feed?

you can get 3 x 6mm cables into a single CCU., but a dual CCU would be better.

dunno about diversing, but i've divorced 2 cookers.
