Anyone got any examples of a critical path network for building construction, electrical work and commissioning, getting to that point in a unit of going down the pub and getting lashed. I am meant to be on a dry month to lose some weight!:-) What is the point of this? If I say I refuse to answer as it is a pointless exercise and a waste of two hours of my life do you think I would still get a pass? Rant over!

my only critical path is the one from the pub car park to the door. :1eye:

Looks like you have hit a mental block!!!! It happens to everyone.

Try and remember your lessons. Look at your notes. Read your books. Break it down to bite size pieces and you will OK. Ask your Tutors to explain it in better detail.

The critical path is tasks on the project that can't be done at any other time. E.g walls need building before the roof gets built.

This creates the minimum amount of time a project can be completed in on the gantt chart.

Non critical path jobs are say first fix and plumbing, they can both be done overlapping each other. One doesn't have to be completed before the other is started.

Panic over, thought they were asking me to do a critical path for seven flats in an old folks home, having re read the question, it is a single new build workshop out the back!:-) Note to self RTFQ!:-)
