Current carrying capacity of 2.5mm flexible cable

Hi Guys if anyone has a regs book to hand please can you give me the current carrying capacity of 2.5mm flexible cable clipped direct, single phase.

Flexible cords shown as 25A for single phase AC in the actual table-4F3A, no mention of fixing method- This is the only table showing 2.5mm.

If its on tray in free air in a permanently cold room it'd probably work out alot higher lol

When i next go to Spain i'm buying loads of it. They can run cookers, showers and heavy plant on their bit of 1.5 flex,

bet when i go to use it though it will suddenly change back cheese string.

I have often wondered what the actual engineering tolerances / derate is for a lot of cable;
I mean - Mr Pirelli puts a bit of 2.5 on the test bench and waits until it melts, for arguments sake let's say 200A. So he then derates by a margin of 5:1 and says here's a cable I've made, will be guaranteed at 40A. The IET say, oh look, here's a cable with a maximum rating of 40A, so let's derate it by 2:1 just to be sure. Here you go, boy's, have a look at this cable that won't melt until 20A............
