Hi all, just been asked the following:

''I have an electric fire that I have to turn on at the wall and then again on the fire. Recently have noticed that if I turn it on at the fire and not the wall it still works! Any advice?''

I'm thinking it must be a faulty socket switch, any sugestions welcome..

thanks in advance

Advice....
chuck it out, it's costing you a fortune to run....oh and get a sparky to change your socket..it's defective and potentially lethal....I wouldnt even contemplate plugging an electric fire in it. (Seriously)
