Discuss Electrician provided 17th Edition EICR and says its ok in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
Attached is page 1 as an exampleHello Ampman.
I think you would need to provide a few more details in order to give a balanced answer.
When was the report carried out?
Why have you mentioned AMTECH software, what relevance does this have?
Do you have a copy of the report you could scan on (minus the electrician's and your details)?
Thanks.
The electrician appeared to use 17th edition stationary which doesn't make sense for 18th edition requirements.17th edition EICR ?
When was the test actually carried out.Apart from it saying 17th edition right at the very bottom of the page, is there any difference between the forms? all tests carried out would / should have been to the 18th edition standard.
looks like he had some forms left over from NAPIT and he's running his old stock down maybe?
Something odd there as the declaration dates are 2019. I know this is possible but it is odd the difference is over a year.

I think you need to speak to him again. Not sure how we can know what his thoughts or reasons are/were.
Already had that conversation - no real justification except that he does it all the time. Doesn't stack up.
The OP said 1 week ago. When was the test carried out.
You can't have forms left over if they're electronic.
I know for a fact NAPIT/NICEIC would never endorse this practice and the forms would be void/not valid. Just seeing if anyone here has any other thoughts.
Do you guys think the 2018 test date is merely an accident? I don't think it was.
That’s a good point. 1 year is pretty short if this is for a normal domestic house! The dates are all a bit odd.curious to read what the rest of the report says?
i'm wondering why he's only given the report 12 months until next inspection?
now i've not got GN3 or my BBB handy at present, but i'm pretty sure it should be 5 years as long as all remedial action has been taken, or on change of occupancy.
standing by to be corrected if wrong.
Made an error on special locations already and ticked both boxes for RCD fault protection and additional protection when one should have been N/A and the next should have been a tick.curious to read what the rest of the report says?

Retest dates are to the engineers discretion but a maximum of 10 years for a normal domestic property. Is this rented?
