Extend cable from fridge freezer to wall switch

I have Liebherr fridge freezer and need to extend the cable from the appliance to the wall plug.
The directions do not allow an extension lead to be used for this purpose.What should I do?

Use a flex connector (which will include strain relief clamps) to join on an additional piece of the appropriate flex.
