Yes he had a look after the gaffer went to the doctors, however the OP suggested the gaffer had already decided on a joint behind the shower and he wasn't computer literate to come on and ask for advice himself.
 
So we've got a plumber that can't measure and a Electrical Trainee that can't use a laptop , aren't we blessed!!
