i just got back from holiday in spain and had a peculiar problem with the light in the bedroom with the light switched of at night the cfl fitting would flash very faintly not enough to keep you awake but you could definatly see it anyone any ideas

i had this problem couple of days agp, there are two possibilities:
1. switch is dimmer switch, then change it to normal one.
2. switch is broken, have a new one.

This is a common problem especially on 2 way lighting circuits wired in the conventional way. To rectify this you need to rewire the switches to the conversion method to elminate any induced voltage or fit a snubber into your light fitting.
