It is proposed that Halogen bulbs be phased out a the end o 2016. I can see lots of wiring adaptations for groups of halogen lights to be converted to LED but what about common adaptor, rather like a multi plug adaptor, that a halogen light (with a transformer) could be plugged into that would allow it run an LED bulb. Anyone heard of such a thing?

There are LED replacement lamps for almost all applications now so I do not think there will be a problem.

Also the phase out of the lamps is only a ban on the manufacture of the lamps and based on the effect of the ban on 100W clear incandescent lamps having been from 2009 and they are still available to buy in some locations I think the effects will be slow to come in.
