ohms law is a simple relationship between 3 variables. if you know 2, you can calculate the third. just transpose when necessary. e.g a 240V supply applied to a 20 ohm resistor. V =IR, so I = V/R = 240/20 =12A

I was always taught to look at the triangle ( like how you work out speed d=s/t)

I V = watt is vera= I R = vera is randy
just look at it like a triangle, whichever your trying to work out put your finger over the letter and whatever is left is the equation. If you want to find out watts use the first one, and its I x V etc...
