Hi everyone. My name is Tim and I need some help. I am looking at a motorised pack I am using to clean windows. I want to add a variable resistor, I think they are called potentiometers. I am wondering though, where should I put it and what value should I get? I think maybe 100 OHM?

Hope the image helps. Its a very simple circuit so it should be relatively simple, assuming I can remember electric class from school. Thanks in advance. :D

You would be better with a speed controller rather than a potentiometer, the speed controller will switch on and off whereas the resistor just wastes power through it.
The location would depend on if you want to turn on at a specific speed or if you want to turn on and then regulate the speed (and also if the speed controller requires power to function).
Generally you would have the control function after an isolator but perhaps before an operational switch.

Hi dude, you may get specific listing of components,if you list the battery and motor spec, type etc.
