Hi All,
Hive Worcester Bosch RD532i Boiler and TR2 thermostat.
I am replacing the TR2 with the Hive 3rd gen Link and Thermostat,
The boiler has 3 wires connected to the existing therm, Which ports in the Link do i connect the 3 wires to, or which wire do i lose?
I have attached photos for you all, and the photo link just in case .
Looking forward to your advice,
TYIA.

You cant use the hive on that boiler. The only compatible thermostat is the TR2 I remember this because I fitted loads of owl kits when they were being trailed for John Lewis a few years ago and discovered that these boilers are not compatible with any other thermostat other than the TR2 due to the communication with the boilers display. It would result in the boiler randomly firing up, not reaching correct temperatures etc.

According to Nests reply :
Hi, this is compatible with Nest although we cannot provide DIY install help.

So not sure you are right in what you have said .. the owl system may not of been compatible ...

Ring Worcester technical line mate not nest..... If your boiler has the digital text display no other thermostat is compatible......But what would I know.

Problem solved ! Nest thermostat and link fitted ... for reference it can be done . Spoke to Worcester Bosch as suggested but they've said no, also spoke to nest and they said yes !! Very confusing .. spoke direct to a specialist Nest engineer and was through what needs to be done ...
needed to turn off the thermostat setting in the boiler programme .

Yes exactly what happened when fitting the owl kit but all will not be as it seems.

Hi there,

I have exactly the same problem!! Could you help me with what wiring you used and what you did to make it work?

Thanks!
