I could get used to this

I'm talking about bank holidays , I am really starting to get used to them.
I know any of you on the books are always going to enjoy them, due to the fact your getting paid.

But even though I'm my own boss I am quite happy to take a day off even if it means no income for that day, when I was younger I tried to grab every hour available, but now not so much.

Don’t know of anyone that’s gone to the grave and wished they had spend more time at work.

I must be a saddo......spent most of the day on a bluddy quote. No pay, that's for sure.

Don't get bank holidays off but this one has fallen on my off shift unlike the rest of them, got told the other day my shift fall on Christmas Day for the next four years!

I get that mate but I just mean when your young there's all the time in the world, and I used to find being off work boring , the same with Sunday's I used to hate them because there seemed like nothing to do, but that is the very reason I now love them.

Don't get me wrong I am only 46 years young but god do I enjoy my spare time now, it usually involves walking the dog for miles, target shooting or getting out with the camera but I guess it's what ever floats your boat!!

Weekends are for football and hangovers, well thats my plan but she has other ideas usually. Since starting shift work ive had to find hobbies again that i lost while chasing money when self employed, like golf, although i spend ages doing DIY ect.

I usually like shopping on a monday as i always start shift on a tuesday today was a absolute nightmare i knew it would be I just couldnt believe the amount of people running around the supermarket.

Nah…that’s what elevenses are for. Nuncheons are for eating your bait. Then yummy tiffin’s in the afternoon. Come to think of it, that must be why procrastination is the thief of time.
