JIB Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) JIB and pay rises

Just had confirmation that im having a wage rise that will bring me in line with current JIB wage rates, after being stuck on the 2008 rates since then. Obviously im very happy about this but does anyone knwow if the JIB are set to increase the rates in january? Weve long been campaigning/moaning at work as we are a JIB company that we want the JIB rates, but have basically been told to be thankful we have a job.

Yes their will be a wage rise in Jan 2015 just been voted through , don't get excited though its 5% over two years, not enough if you ask me look at the deskilling thread towards the end as its rather large. http://www.electriciansforums.co.uk...area/39426-smas-de-skilling-our-industry.html

If you are a JIB-graded operative then your company was clearly in breach of JIB rules and should have been reported to and expelled from the JIB.

Expel them from the JIB then they can reduce the wages with no penalty.

Except that they can't enjoy the benefits that being a JIB member gives them. The JIB could also publicly shun them.
