I used to fit the arora M10s as standard downlight but the halers are 60 degree and with a fitting/click connector and bezel was within your budget,my local yesss branch sort me out some decent prices, did fit some robus units in my dining room which worked out at £20 per fitting and give a decent lumen output in that area.

Hi, First time Post, this seems like the most relevant place to ask.
I'm not new to LED Fire-Rated downlights; I've used the Scolmore Inceptors and the Halers H2's in the past, no problems at all. This time, however, the client has specifically asked that the downlights "don't look like LED's" after some probing, they explained... "all the little yellow spots", i took that to mean the led chips themselves. So they want a "COB" type fitting.
I did a little google work and found this leaves me with 2 or 3 options.
The Aurora M10, the JCC LED6 and this new Ansell Orbio 360 fittings.
I was inclined to go with the Aurora M10, it's a decent brand and i know my dad has used their i9 fittings in the past and said that the connectors are pretty handy (Like the Click Flow ones). But i've been hearing, here and there, of major problems with the M10. Has anyone here used them at all?
I wouldn't mind using the JCC fitting but it doesn't have that plug and play connector. I've heard nothing at all about the Ansell fitting either, seems pretty new and I don't fancy them for this particular job.

ansel icage and some of there lumilife lamps

NVC garland are pretty decent, 7w dimmable, also have the plug in connector, 10yr warranty and cost less than £20+vat

TLC do a new COB downlight. I've not tried it myself, but I've used plenty of their older non-COB ones:

LEDlite LED COB Downlights

Should be pretty bright, going by the figures.

@SPARTYKUS You're right! Guess i'm a sucker for a gimmick. I was really looking for a reason not to use the M10's and substantiate these claims that they're unreliable, but i guess it's all hear-say.
Thanks all!
