Fitted some of these a couple of weeks ago got a phone all today saying they are flickering after being on for 3 minutes.

They are controlled by a dimmer.

I am assuming the dimmer is the problem as its a standard one and not LED compatable?

Best solution change to gu10 fluorescents or remove dimmer? Suppose it's upto the customer.

This is just my first thought could of be anything else?

i too have had this happen. and as you have posted already. replacing the led units for flouorescents sorted it.

you can get dimmable l.e.d but by the sounds of it. it dosn't sound like these are that type.

you can get a wee dimmer to replace the standard dimmer for 6 quid, our wholesalers make this clear when buying dimable led's.
and if you have only few leds, you tune in the dimmer.at the side.

i did tho find when tryed they dimmers on 8 x 4.5W leds the dimmer dimmed slightly then cuts off so left on standard switch for best results

I've seen that Varilight do a dimmer that can operate at a minimum of 10Watts. Richmond do their fancy grid range that operate at similar wattages.
