I recently bought a bathroom mirror with LED & Bluetooth speakers (from Amazon). There is a double isolated symbol on the back of the mirror yet there is also an earth wire connection. Is this unusual and should it be a cause of concern? It has not been installed yet - just wondering what your thoughts are in regard to the safety of this product.
Many thanks for your opinions / advice.

No it shouldn't have an earth but without it then it is debatable whether it is double insulated. Does the earth actually connect to the metalwork?
If it were me I would send it back and get something from a reputable vendor, not Amazon.

It does not meet requirements for a double insulated product, but is marked with the class II symbol.

Too much stuff like this on the market now unfortunately.
