Hi, ive came across a fault today, the house has been rewired a month back and I was called today because the rcd would trip when the bedroom switch was turned off, it would turn on and work fine but as soon as you switched it off it would trip out, there is a standard pendant and single pole switch, insulation resistance checks out fine so im baffled to why this could be tripping.

Hmmm, only thing I’ve read is about DP switching causing probs. What lamp is in the pendant? What about the rest of the install?
Its very weird I cant get my head around it, rest of the circuit is fine, and led bayonet lamps, rest of the house passes IR

have you tried it with no lamp in the fitting?
incase it is something else on the circuit?
