If it needs to be connected to MEt that only has Nuts and bolts on then yes, usually do too when connecting to a bonding clamp.
 
If it's mechanically sound, absolutely fine in my book. And yes, I do also put a lug on the end for bonding clamps etc; I think it's neater and sometimes can be quicker, too.
