Discuss Megger 1741+ vs Metrel MI3152 in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Which loop test is slow? The hi current or the anti-trip?

Anti trip tests will take longer as the tester needs to do a lot more to get a somewhere near accurate result.

Anti trip loop tests will always be a bit of a trade off as they are so susceptible to noise and other interference in the system.

If you want accurate test results then you need to accept that it takes time to carry out the test.

Thanks Davesparks, it was the anti-trip but that explains a lot :) I've decided to go with the Metrel :)
