Hi guys I have been instructed to carry out leakage testing on the 3 microwave we have on site as I am the only person on site with 2377 but I'm unsure if the microwave leakage testing req a different qualification as this wasn't on the course or I'm my notes.
any guidance welcome.

If you are referring to "radiation" leakage which was a test required in the 3rd edition Code of Practice, it is no longer required in the 5th edition ISITEE. However, I still carry out this test simply due to the fact that I have a tester as I always did the test in years gone by. Just seems daft not to do it as the leakage tester is in my bag anyway and it takes only a couple of minutes.

At the very least check the door's integrity and it closes normally (no odd gaps around the side).

The door need not be in contact, just a small enough gap (as it would have if new / not abused) that the EM energy is contained.
