I plan to recess an existing exterior outlet into a cement block w/ stucco wall. I'd like to use a junction box that is easy to install and won't require messy cementing in. Can I use a winged old work electrical box on an exterior wall and caulk/seal it in well? And then use a weatherproof over everything. Maybe the carlon superblue or something similar?

Thanks!

zipperman welcome to the forum and yes you can use that style of box as long as it is recessed as you mentioned. Good luck
